Entrepreneurship, sports, and communities: register for a BIP in Latvia

Students in the 1st and 2nd years of all study programmes at the Faculty of Business of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution are invited to register for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) ‘Community-Based Sport and Outdoor Entrepreneurship for Regional Development’!

Are you interested in entrepreneurship, sports event management, community engagement, or regional development? We invite you to participate in the international Erasmus+ BIP ‘Community-Based Sport and Outdoor Entrepreneurship for Regional Development’, organised by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Latvia).

During the programme, students will explore the role of sports events and outdoor recreation activities in strengthening communities, fostering civic engagement, and supporting sustainable regional development. Participants will analyse how sport-based initiatives promote social inclusion, volunteering, active citizenship, and local community participation while creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and regional growth.

Programme dates:

  • Virtual component: 28 September 2026 
  • On-site component: 12–16 October 2026 
  • Location: Valmiera, Latvia 

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be able to analyse the impact of sports and outdoor recreation activities on social inclusion and civic engagement; understand the significance of sport entrepreneurship for regional development and community resilience; apply community and stakeholder engagement principles in the organisation of sports events; develop sports and outdoor recreation business concepts with social impact; and strengthen their entrepreneurial, organisational, and teamwork skills.
