Description

Students in the first and second years of study at the Faculty of Business of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution are invited to apply for the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) 'Innovation Co-creation Laboratory 2026: Synergy between Technology and Creative Industries for Regional Development', which will take place at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera, Latvia. The programme is designed for students interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, and creative industries, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation development, and solving real-world business challenges.

The programme will be delivered in a blended format. Virtual sessions are scheduled for 5, 12, and 19 November 2026, while the on-site week in Valmiera will take place from 23–27 November 2026. Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded 3 ECTS credits.

This BIP will provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in innovation development processes and a deeper understanding of how the synergy between technology and creative industries can contribute to regional development. Participants will learn to apply design thinking to address real-life challenges, analyse business and regional development issues, develop innovative solutions, and evaluate their practical applicability and impact.

Participation in the programme will also help students develop competencies that are highly valued in today’s professional environment, including creativity, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate in international and interdisciplinary teams. By working alongside students from different countries, participants will gain new perspectives on business challenges and explore solutions that can be applied in real-world contexts.

The programme will also provide opportunities to build connections with representatives of the business, research, and innovation ecosystems. Such experience helps students better understand how ideas evolve from an initial concept to a practical solution and how collaboration between specialists from different fields can create value for organisations, regions, and communities.

Registration is open until 17 June (inclusive). After the registration deadline, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
