Join training on communication in a global workplace with JCI Vice President for Europe
On Wednesday, 13 May, at 10:00, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution will host the interactive training session ‘Across Cultures: Communicating, Collaborating and Thriving in a Global Workplace‘. The session will take place at Pramonės Ave. 22A, Room 202, and will be led by Isabel Simon, Vice President for Europe 2026 at Junior Chamber International (JCI).
During the training, participants will explore cultural dimensions and intercultural competence models that help explain how cultural values shape people’s behaviour, expectations, decision-making and leadership styles. The session will combine theoretical insights with practical tools that participants will be able to apply in communication, teamwork and international projects. These competencies are particularly relevant in an environment where professional relationships increasingly extend beyond the boundaries of a single country or culture.

The training will be delivered by Isabel Simon, a specialist in human resources, talent acquisition and international communication. Originally from Indonesia and currently living in Scotland, she has gained experience across the United Kingdom, the European Union, Japan and Southeast Asia, working in sectors such as professional services, media, medical communications, energy, finance, IT and technology consulting. Isabel Simon is currently a Talent Acquisition Specialist at DC Thomson, a certified Predictive Index Practitioner, and holds a postgraduate diploma in Intercultural Business Communication from Edinburgh Napier University.
An important part of her professional and voluntary work focuses on strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion, social mobility and youth leadership development. These themes are closely connected with the activities of Junior Chamber International (JCI), a global youth leadership organisation operating in more than 100 countries and helping young people develop through real-world projects, leadership training and meaningful international connections. In this context, Isabel Simon’s visit to Kauno kolegija HEI will offer participants an opportunity to look at intercultural communication from a practical perspective – as a skill that is increasingly important for every professional working in an international and culturally diverse environment.
The event will be held in English and will last 2 hours.
Registration is required.
